CSI Provides IBC Special Inspection Services For Catholic Health Initiative's Mt. Sterling Rural Hospital

KYOneHealth, part of Catholic Health Initiatives, a national nonprofit health corporation based in Denver, Colorado, serves a 60-county region in Central and Eastern Kentucky. The central and eastern division of the health system includes seven hospital campuses, one ambulatory care center, medical office buildings and clinics and employs approximately 5,000 people. One of the hospital campuses, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Hospital (SJMS), is located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, approximately 45 miles Lexington, Kentucky and 120 miles from KYOne Health headquarters in Louisville.

SJMS includes a 63-bed inpatient hospital supported by the full range of both inpatient and outpatient services. The campus is located on a tight site in the middle of a residential neighborhood. In an effort to improve healthcare services to the local community, SJMS is developing a replacement facility of 40 beds to provide full inpatient and outpatient services. The new facility will be located on vacant land in the southeast corner of interstate 64 and highway 11. The program consists of 111,718 sf with a budget amount of approximately $56.2 million.
